Snail Mommy is an attachment parenting themed blog that focuses on loving life at a slower pace. After spending much of my life fighting a busy schedule, I decided to slow down a bit and enjoy each moment.  When I was 8 months pregnant with my second child, I decided to quit my job and become a stay at home mom. Since then I have continued to educate myself in aspects of attachment parenting, including breastfeeding, babywearing, co-sleeping, and gentle parenting.

Here is a little information about me...

My name is Michelle. I am a wife and a mother to two children. My son was born in 2000 and my daughter was born in 2014. I have a Master's Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and before becoming a stay at home mom, I worked in the social service field for about 7 years. Staying home has been an adjustment, but by far one of the best decisions I have ever made. Being a mother to a teenager and a baby has already proven exciting and wonderful, and I hope you enjoy reading about our experiences.

I sell essential oils as well as my own line of everyday products that are made with essential oils. Snail Mommy Essential Oil Products are currently available locally in St. Louis, MO and sold at the Arnold Farmers Market. Check our Facebook page for dates products will be sold at the Farmers Market.

What is Attachment Parenting?

Attachment parenting is all about doing what is best for you and your family. It involves following your instincts to sensitively care for your child. Attachment parenting is about building a strong attachment with your child, and learning to understand each other.
